| Mission The New England Community Action Partnership (NECAP) serves the collective interests of its member Community Action Agencies and the low-income population of New England through representation and education. It is the official association of the Region I Community Action Agencies. Purpose To provide an opportunity for CAA Directors and staff within the Region to come together and share mutual concerns and best practices and address poverty related policy issues. To establish a mechanism whereby representatives to various national and regional organizations are selected. To establish a coordinated approach to the provision of training and technical assistance to CAAs in the Region. To serve as a liaison to various National and Regional offices with the purpose of furthering communication and coordination. To provide a means whereby we lever, influence, analyze and communicate key issues related to policy and practice and its impact on constituencies and supporters . To engage in any other activity that may be appropriate cnsistent with the Articles of Oncorporation, the laww applicable to organizations exempt from income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and any other applicable federal, state, or local law. |
